The latest confirmed coronavirus cases across Nottinghamshire

Public Health England data shows that 1,729 people have now tested positive for coronavirus across Nottinghamshire.

There have been 551 confirmed cases in the city and 1,178 in the wider county.

The latest figures released on Wednesday, May 6, come after Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), which runs the Queen's Medical Centre and the City Hospital, announced a further seven patient deaths.

This takes the trust's coronavirus death toll to 228.

There have now been 1,448,010 tests for the virus across Great Britain, with 201,101 testing positive.

Up to 30,076 people have died from the virus across the UK.
