With the current draft order nearly locked in, we saw all of two QBs go in the first round of Christian D’Andrea’s latest NFL mock — Drake Maye and Caleb Williams. In the latest mock from CBS’s Josh Edwards, there are four taken, with Michael Penix Jr. — the breakout star for Washington — going No. 14 to the Denver Broncos, a move that would make sense if Russell Wilson is done there.

In the wake of the Russell Wilson news, it is rather clear that Denver will be pursuing other options at quarterback. Michael Penix Jr. is a leader who can come in and provide some hope.
