The Late Late Show viewers unanimous in verdict of Niall Horan after RTE appearance

Niall Horan made a huge impression on The Late Late Show last night with viewers unanimously praising him.

The Mullingar native was on with Ryan Tubridy promoting his latest album 'Heartbreak Weather' which came out on Friday.

Viewers described the former One Direction man as "down to earth" and a "dote" as he chatted away about his current life in music.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "Niall Horan single handedly lifting the mood of a nation...as it should be."

While Clodagh Anne said: "What a performance Niall, such a wee dote. So lovely to see all the family proud as ever."

Fintan Marron added: "Really enjoyed that interview with Niall Horan! You can take the man out of Mullingar but you can't take Mullingar out of the man."

While Shane Dunne said: "Brilliant stuff from Niall Horan, one of the nicest lads around."

Others described the solo artist as an "angel" as they praised the singer for lighting the mood amid coronavirus doom.

Horan himself has joked about his timing in releasing an album during a worldwide pandemic.

The singer tweeted: "Surely as far as 'difficult second albums' go, I've smashed it with my timing."

The new album includes 14 tracks including previous releases "Put a Little Love on Me" and "No Judgement" as well as plenty of never heard before songs like "New Angel".
