The Late Late Show: Fermanagh band The Tumbling Paddies set for Friday night appearance

Co Fermanagh will be front and centre on RTE’s the Late Late Show this Friday as local band The Tumbling Paddies take to the stage.

The six piece folk band hailing from the Erne county will appear alongside the likes of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul actor Bob Odenkirk, and Wicklow music star Hozier.

Airing at 9.30pm on Friday night and hosted by Ryan Tubridy, the Co Fermanagh performers will provide the music for the popular Friday night show.

Since first forming the band in 2016, the six piece’s star has continued to shine.

The Enniskillen musicians have carved out a unique following, mainly pulling in younger fans, and their performance at the Ploughing Championships went viral on TikTok.

The band shared the announcement in a social media post on Thursday.

A description for Friday night’s Late Late Show says it will feature a world exclusive performance from Irish singing sensation Hozier.

"Rock star Hozier, Better Call Saul's “Bob Odenkirk, and writer Stefanie Preissner are among the big name guests on this week's Late Late Show,” the description reads.

“Award-winning, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Hozier will drop by for a world-exclusive performance of two brand-new songs.

“Host Ryan Tubridy will also chat with Emmy-winning comedian and actor Bob Odenkirk on how playing a dodgy but loveable lawyer in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul saved him in more ways than one; becoming an unlikely action star in his late 50s and why Ireland's own Dave Allen inspired him to pursue a career in comedy.”
