The Last Of Us' Bella Ramsey lets slip when series two will drop

The Last of Us fans are now eagerly-awaiting the second series of the gripping programme after it wound to an end this week.

The Sky Atlantic series shows an almost decimated civilisation, twenty years after a global pandemic. Hardened survivor Joel takes care of a 14-year-old girl who could be mankind's only hope.

Viewers have been left desperate for more, with episodes having dropped weekly before the season finale.

Thankfully, HBO has confirmed there will be a second series, and Ellie star Bella Ramsey has just revealed when it is likely to arrive on our screens. The 19-year-old appears on this week's The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs on Saturday (March 18), but has already been filmed.

Joining Jonathan, alongside Liam Neeson, Mel Giedroyc, and Munya Chawawa, Bella has opened up about her friendship with The Last of Us co-star Pedro Pascal.

Jonathan Ross will be joined by Munya Chawawa, Liam Neeson, Bella Ramsey, Mel Giedroyc and Lady Blackbird on Saturday night's show (HotsauceTV Ltd/ITV)

She said: "It’s very real. Imagine if it was all fake? I love him. I miss him. He’s in Los Angeles living his best life. Mandalorian has just come out so he's really busy", before then disclosing when series two will be filmed, and likely released.

Bella added: "It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, beginning of next. So it’ll probably be the end of 2024, early 2025."

The Jonathan Ross show airs Saturday at 9.55pm on ITV and ITVX
