The landmark goal Marcus Rashford scored against Atalanta

Marcus Rashford’s goal against Atalanta on Wednesday night was the 300 th under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Solskjaer took over on an initial temporary basis in December 2018, replacing Jose Mourinho.

After a stellar run in charge, Solskjaer was given the job on a full-time basis and finished second in the Premier League last season, as well as guiding the team to the Europa League final which they lost to Villarreal on penalties.

Though this season hasn’t started the way the United had hoped, Wednesday night’s comeback against the Serie A outfit was sparked by Rashford’s goal and it was an historic one.

It marked the 300 th goal the team have scored while the Norwegian has been in charge and Rashford has scored the most in that time with 54.

Ten goals behind is Bruno Fernandes, with Anthony Martial rounding off the top three with 35.

The 3-2 win was also the 30 th time United have scored three goals in a game under Solskjaer.

By the end of the night, United took their tally to 302 goals thanks to Harry Maguire’s equaliser and Cristiano Ronaldo’s late winner.

Ronaldo leads the scoring charts for the club this season with six goals.
