The Lakers’ team bus apparently didn’t leave Luke Walton behind after loss

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t had the type of season many expected they would after signing LeBron James in the offseason.

With 23 games left in the season, it’s looking like they might not even make the playoffs as they’re the No. 10 team in the West and will need to rip off a number of wins down the stretch to even think about making the postseason.

Losses like Saturday’s ugly one to the Pelicans in New Orleans aren’t going to help things.

So when this report below about the team bus leaving Luke Walton behind broke out and made all the rounds, including here, it seemed like it was something that could have happened.

But apparently, according to the team’s PR that wasn’t the case:

Sorry, Twitter and all the jokes that now don’t work.

But yeah, the Lakers are still very much a mess heading down the final stretch of the regular season.
