The Kooks confirmed as headline act for Valley Fest 2023 near Bristol

Valley Fest organisers have announced its first headline act for its 2023 music and food event at Chew Valley Lake near Bristol. Indie popsters The Kooks, best-known for smash hits like She Moves in Her Own Way, You Don’t Love Me and the top-five single Naive are confirmed as the headline act on Saturday night.

The award-winning festival - now in its eighth year - is expected to run from August 3-6 next year, offering everything from music, to cooking demonstrations and feasts. The fan-favourite event has gone from strength to strength having sold out in the past two years.

Bristol chef Josh Eggleton of the multi-award-winning restaurant, The Pony Chew Valley, will lead the food programme alongside award-winning chefs of the region for feast demonstrations. One of those is Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, of Michelin-starred Paco Tapas and Casa. He will be behind the Friday Feast and run a chef demonstration, sharing some of his skills and knowledge.

Valley Fest founder Luke Hasell says cannot wait for festival-goers to come to his farmland. He said: “We’re off to a strong start. There will be more headliners including Arcadia’s Alchemist Playground line-up plus our Regenerative programme, not forgetting workshops and wellbeing classes."

According to the organisers, visitors can expect 'hedge-to-hedge Somerset sparkle and plenty of nonsense with a spectacular soundtrack'. Weekend tickets are £155 (plus booking fee) and can be bought in instalments to spread the payment here. Tickets for the feasts will go on sale in the new year.
