The Knott Bar has announced plans to temporarily close due to the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Bosses at the popular Manchester city centre pub on Deansgate made the announcement on Friday.
The bar will cease trading today (Saturday) with a view to reopen in the autumn.
Writing on Facebook, the team said: "Despite our best efforts over the last month to work within a sustainable business model amid testing circumstances, The Knott Bar will postpone trading following the close of business on Saturday August 15.
"The difficulties operating throughout the pandemic were exacerbated by the heightened local restrictions implemented this month.
"Whilst we appreciate these measures are necessary to save lives and stop the spread of the virus, working within these new boundaries and maintaining the long-term welfare of the business are not both achievable.
"With further uncertainty regarding hospitality when schools start in September, we have taken the decision to temporarily close our doors, with the intention to re-open in the autumn."
The Knott Bar said people can still purchase its Wander Beyond beer either on its online shop or at The Chorlton Tap.
They added: "Management would like to thank everyone who visited and supported us throughout these tough times.
"We hope to see you all again soon."
The Knott Bar is one of many bars and venues feeling the strain in Manchester.
All Star Lanes, the bowling alley bar in the heart of Manchester city centre, announced its immediate closure earlier in the week.
