This book’s main characters are the prince of Wrenly named Prince Lucas and their family royal seamstress’s daughter Clara.
The story is all about Prince Lucas dreaming about a land of mermaids and Clara, his best friend not believing him. Lucas dreams about a mermaid named Avalon and sees her coming out of a majestic white palace. In Prince Lucas’s dream, the two become friends.
At first, Clara doesn’t believe Lucas because he doesn’t have any proof but then Lucas finds a very rare shell called a morning glory of the sea which was the exact shell which was in his dream. Then Clara starts to believe that the prince actually saw the mermaid world, both in his dream and in reality.
I really like this book because I think it teaches an important lesson: trust builds over time. I recommend this book to kids who want fantasy but also want a lesson of life with it. This book is for people of all ages.
