The Kinder Egg secret that has been surprising people online

A simple observation about the humble Kinder Egg has been leaving people's 'minds blown' online.

The chocolate egg is renowned for its secrets and one of the biggest has just been pointed out, leaving people online shocked and surprised.

The chocolate for the eggs was invented in Italy in 1968 by Michele Ferrero and the eggs themselves were first created six years later.

But despite the fact they are well over 40 years old people are still learning.

The original eggs featured hand painted toys in 100 different designs.

Now The Mirror reports that people on the Children of the 1980s Facebook Page have been shocked by an observation posted by Sullivan Poulter

Sharing a picture of a Kinder Egg he wrote: "I was today years old when I realised..." and explained that the capsule inside the egg, which holds the toy, is yellow to represent the yolk of a real egg.

The post has been shared 20,000 times with hundreds of comments.

"Mind officially blown!!!!!!" commented one.

Another said: "45, who knew??? Apparently you're never too old to learn something new!!"

"Well I never, neither did I and it's so obvious now you point it out," added a third.

Others pointed out that the inner white chocolate represents the white of the egg.
