Tickets go on sale for The Killers at Middlesbrough Riverside Stadium concert

The Killers will play live in Middlesbrough on their world tour next summer.

The Las Vegas natives, who namechecked Newcastle during their 2019 Glastonbury performance , will only play one North East date on their Imploding the Mirage tour.

Their show at Middlesbrough FC's stadium on Saturday June 13 will be their last on the UK leg of the tour.

Every album the Killers have released in the UK has reached number one in the UK charts, from 2004's Hot Fuss through to 2017's Wonderful, Wonderful.

The booking was revealed by Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen and Middlesbrough Football Club this morning. Welsh indie and Britpop legends Manic Street Preachers will support Brandon Flowers and co in Teesside.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Friday November 22 at 9am via ticketmaster.co.uk or seetickets.com .

Middlesbrough FC's head of Commercial Lee Fryett said: "We’re incredibly excited to be welcoming The Killers to the Riverside Stadium next summer.

"The Killers are global superstars, and this reinforces our belief in the Riverside as a world-class venue.

"After the success of the Take That concert in the summer, we’re looking forward to staging another great day for our club and our region."

For football, The Riverside has a capacity of 34,742.

Last June, Take That played there in front of a 32,000 crowd.
