The Killers Malahide Castle: Dublin shows officially cancelled as band post dates of rescheduled gigs

The Killers have officially cancelled their upcoming outdoor summer concerts in Ireland.

The Mr Brightside hitmakers were due to play at Malahide Castle in Dublin on June 16 and 17.

However, they have rescheduled the gigs for 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Brandon Flowers and co will now play at Malahide on June 15 and 16 next year.

The band were set to return to Ireland off the back of their sixth studio album Imploding the Mirage.

Rising star Sam Fender remains as their special guest for the concerts.

The Killers took to Instagram to tell fans that safety comes first, as they promised "the same great shows" for 2021.

They said: "We must postpone our UK and Ireland dates due to Covid.

"The single most important thing is that you all take care of yourselves and be safe and healthy. These are going to be the same great shows, but we have to move them to next year.

"All tickets will be honored, so we really hope you will join us. If you can’t, please contact your ticket agent."
