Brandon Flowers has opened up about requiring shoulder surgery after a horror mountain bike accident.
The 39-year-old singer sustained the injury in a fall in 2017 but it has dogged him ever since and now he is having to go under the knife to correct the problem.
The Killers frontman revealed that he would need the operation during an Instagram Live Q&A video on Friday, in which he appeared alongside drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr.
Detailing the nature of the fracture he suffered, Brandon said: "Some of you may have seen the picture I posted and some footage when I went over the handlebars on my bike and an injury from that has manifested itself.
"I have a torn labrum in that shoulder so I am going under the knife in a couple of weeks to get that taken care of."
The accident is believed to have happened in September 2017, when Brandon tweeted a photo on The Killers official Twitter account.
The photo showed the singer with a bruised face and he wrote with it: "When mtn (mountain) biking down hill, don't squeeze left brake."
It is uncertain whether this was the accident that has led to his forthcoming operation.
Brandon has spoken about having 'substantial complications' to the "bad shoulders" that he has been suffering for a while.
He revealed that he has previously undergone decompression surgery on both of his shoulders.
Brandon said that he had some of his bones "shaved" off as part of the procedure in a bid to alleviate his pain.
This comes after The Killers released a deluxe edition of their album Imploding the Mirage.
This included new material in the form of track C'est La Vie, as well as live recordings of their songs Blowback and Caution.
