The Kieran Tierney Celtic connection that never dies as Arsenal celebrate debut milestone with Parkhead salute

Former Celtic favourite Kieran Tierney made his Arsenal debut exactly two years ago and his club made sure to give his one true love a shoutout on the anniversary.

Tierney joined up in North London in early August 2019 for a Hoops record fee of £25m.

Gunners fans had to wait nearly two months to see the new man in action as he recovered from a hernia op.

But finally on September 24, 2019, they were able to watch the man from Muirhouse turn on the style in a League Cup win over Nottingham Forest.

And once his debut was brought to a close fans were purring at finally finding a solution to a long-time problem position.

Other injuries took their toll including a painful dislocated shoulder but the Scotland star has persevered through it all.

They showed their appreciation on the two-year anniversary of his first appearance in the iconic red and white with a reference to Tierney's well known love for Celtic.

Arsenal tweeted: "Two years ago today... The Bhoy made his Arsenal debut!"

That's not the only Twitter feature that proves Tierney's allegiances with his cover photo featuring the packed Cetlic end during the UEFA Cup Final 2003 in Sevile.
