Australian artist The Kid Laroi has shared a new song, GO, featuring a posthumous contribution from his late friend and rapper Juice WRLD.
The track is the latest slice of music to arrive after Juice WRLD’s tragic passing in December last year, and is a new collaboration between him and the 16-year-old rapper, who toured together in 2019.
GO is accompanied by a video, directed by Steve Cannon, featuring footage of the duo working together, with Juice WRLD joking about giving a “$200,000 gift” by supplying a verse for The Kid Laroi’s birthday.
In a statement, The Kid Laroi said: “The song really means a lot to me. The whole concept of the video was to capture and remember the moments me and Juice made together when we created this in Greece.
“I just wanna say how much I wish you were here with me to enjoy this s***. We all love and miss you back here.”
The first posthumous Juice WRLD single, Righteous, arrived in April, followed by his guest vocals on Trippie Redd’s Tell Me U Luv Me in May.
Juice WRLD had been labelled as one of the US rap scene’s rising stars before his death, achieving major breakout success with tracks such as Lucid Dreams and All Girls Are The Same.
