Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that he is hopeful Paul Pogba will return to the pitch in early December.
The French international has been out of action since his side's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the end of September due to an ankle injury.
United's form has been extremely hit and miss since the start of the season and the midfielder's absence over the past seven matches has certainly not helped as they look to climb the table to challenge at the right end of the league.
With Premier League football on hold once again after this weekend's fixtures, the 26-year-old looks set to return after the international break but their first game back against Sheffield United on Sunday, November 24 will probably come too soon for him.
Their match against Aston Villa is certainly more realistic and that means he could be in line to face Spurs at Old Trafford three days later.
Speaking to the press to preview their Europa League tie against Partizan Belgrade, Solskjaer provided an important update on his key midfielder.
"He won't be too long before he's out of his cast, he'll work through the international break and hopefully we'll have him back in early December," he said, as reported by Manchester Evening News .
The Lilywhites will travel to Old Trafford after hosting Bournemouth at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of November.
