The Junction 2 - review: A quirky little festival with a 'motorway' stage you'll never forget

Standing beneath the M4 in the rain will never get any better than this.

With Dixon and DJ Koze playing to thousands dancing under the motorway at ‘The Bridge’ stage, what shouldn’t have worked 100% did.

The roof over our heads didn’t just stop us from getting wet, either, it seemed to make for excellent acoustics - and it looked incredible.

Four years in, Junction 2 is known as much for the now iconic Bridge stage as it is the quality of music on offer.

Believe me, it’s up there with the Space terrace as a unique place to enjoy a few hours of great tunes - and that’s saying something.

Good times at The Bridge wasn’t it, though.

There’s fun, creativity and music galore in all corners of this quirky little festival in west London.

From Gilles Peterson on the main stage to tiny sound systems carved into small clearings in the woods, there’s something for everyone.

Add in a generally good vibe, no disastrous queues for a drink and a 10pm finish (plenty of time to make it to the pub for last orders!) and there’s nothing not to like.
