The joyous Swansea City player ratings as Paterson, Piroe and Ntcham make the difference

BEN HAMER 8

Pretty helpless for Karlan Grant's opener but was otherwise solid in goal and in possession. Got a vital touch to deny Matt Phillips in the second half.

RYAN BENNETT 8

Won plenty of aerial duels to help combat West Brom's direct threat. He was good on the ball too as Swansea dictated play for long spells.

KYLE NAUGHTON - Star Man 8

Generally composed on the ball. Naughton made so many tackles and clearances too. Great shift at the heart of the defence.

BEN CABANGO 8

The Welshman was refreshingly comfortable on the ball and won a few free-kicks after showing confidence in possession. He really stood up to the physical test and looked more lively as the game wore on before picking up an injury. Fine shift.

ETHAN LAIRD 8

Showed plenty of positivity in a bid to get Swansea up the pitch and made his fair share of clearances in defence too. Energy really helped the hosts carry a threat after the restart.

FLYNN DOWNES 6

Made some important interventions to help Swansea get a foothold in the first half. Subbed at the break, presumably due to injury.

MATT GRIMES 7

One of few who looked to spray passes wide and through the thirds, although, often to no avail. Looked better with Olivier Ntcham on the pitch.

JAKE BIDWELL 7

Was often in space on the left flank but rarely troubled the Baggies. Better in the second half as Swansea carried more of a threat.

JAMIE PATERSON 8

Following his derby heroics, Paterson made a nervy start against the Baggies, giving away possession in the buildup to the opener before getting away with a risky clearance soon after. But he grew after that shaky start and played the ball over the top for Joel Piroe to score the equaliser before bamboozling the West Brom defence to bag the winner. Stunning.

KOREY SMITH 7

Decent enough on the ball throughout. Didn't really carry much of a threat high up the pitch but slotted in nicely in a deeper role after Downes' withdrawal.

JOEL PIROE 8

The Dutchman had no service in the first half. But Piroe once again proved deadly with a remarkably composed finish to level proceedings. He caused plenty of problems after the restart and got the assist for Paterson's winner. Party time once again.
