Jan Vertonghen was the man of the moment for Tottenham as he scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory against Wolves.
The Belgian defender headed home from a Christian Eriksen corner in the first minute of stoppage time as Spurs claimed all three points at Molineux.
Speaking after the game, the 32-year-old said that "experience helped him" to get the winning goal for the Lilywhites, with Vertonghen finding space in the box to meet Christian Eriksen's corner.
“I tried a late run there, so no-one would pick me up and maybe experience helped me there," he said, speaking on BBC programme Match of the Day 2.
"And Christian with a great delivery there, and eyes closed, and it went in.”
But former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas said he felt a conversation with Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho was key to the winning goal.
Analysing the game as a pundit, he said: “[Wolves boss] Nuno [Espirito Santo] is talking about vital moments and staying switched on in those moments. That vital moment came in the last minute of the game, when it went for a corner.
"You can highlight Adama Traore, who had just been off the field with a shoulder injury, and he is about to come onto the pitch.
"But have a look at the conversation between Jose [Mourinho] and Jan [Vertonghen], who is right next to him. Jan [Vertonghen] is saying 'shall I go' and I think Jose [Mourinho] says 'you might as well go, they have got everyone back in'.
"Jan [Vertonghen] is very clever, but I have highlighted Adama Traore for a reason, because he is not switched on, he is not on his toes.
"Traore is walking out of the box and look what happens, right in his spot, Jan Vertonghen pops up and sticks it in the bottom corner.”
