The Jets are more massive underdogs than the Dolphins in Week 3

All it took was a third-string quarterback for the New York Jets to become bigger underdogs in Week 3 of the NFL season than the Miami Dolphins.

With Sam Darnold out and Trevor Siemian hobbled, it looks like the Jets will start Luke Falk at quarterback Sunday in New England.

The original line had Gang Green as 17.5-point underdogs against the Super Bowl champs. However, that has jumped to 22 points on Vegasinsider.com.

The significance? Not much unless you look for betting history.

The Miami Dolphins are anywhere from 21- to 21.5 point underdogs as they visit the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3.

So, you have a pair of AFC East teams that are underdogs by a combined better than 43 points.

Talk about a sad state.
