The Jeremy Vine Show announces new host in major Channel 5 shake-up

The Jeremy Vine Show is set to get a shake-up as a new host will take on the Channel 5 programme from next week.

Jeremy Vine, 57, made the announcement on his morning show, which features live debate and discussions over the day's news, views and opinions.

The journalist and presenter revealed LBC's Nick Ferrari will join the show as a guest host.

Ferrari will take on the role for one week only, starting on Monday.

Jeremy said: "Monday for one week only we're going to be on air for another hour. Because there's so much to talk about here, right?"

"We're going to go right through until 1:45pm with more guests, more debate, more calls from you and a brilliant presenter who's going to be joining us.

"He is one of my broadcast heroes actually, Mr Nick Ferrari!"

Nick, 64, will host the live phone-in show for an extended hour.

Joining the announcement, he said: "I'm thoroughly looking forward to it.

"I'm going to give it my darndest and it's good to be working with you and Storm, governor."

The weekday programme features a guest panel, which Nick has appeared on numerous times.

Scottish presenter Storm Huntley has her own segment of the show on Jeremy Vine Extra.

Matthew Wright used to host the show (Channel 5)

Vine took on the Channel 5 hit from Matthew Wright in 2018, which was previously called The Wright Stuff.

TV presenter and former tabloid journalist Matthew Wright left the show after 18 years.

Various guest presenters took turns presenting following his departure, with Jeremy soon landing the gig.

Vine also presenters his own BBC Radio 2 show.

Known for being a passionate cyclist, Jeremy recently shared video footage of his 'first collision of the year' on his bike.
