The Japanese inspired homeware you need for your interiors

A space dedicated to art, design and food, the recently launched, Kensington-based Japan House has been described by London’s Mayor as ‘a window on Japanese culture’.

It’s part of the reason the capital is currently abuzz with Japanese-inspired design. Keep an eye out for the term kintsugi, the old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with golden glue.

The Italian design house Seletti has produced a collection using this ancient method. Fancy a crack and need a use for your broken china? The New Kintsugi Repair Kit, £25, from the Design Museum Shop should satisfy all your kintsugi needs.
