The James Milner mystery and Liverpool's next step for ultimate professional

A strong professional display from the European Champions resulting in a superb 4-1 away win in Genk with the only disappointing aspect being the late goal conceded.

James Milner - the ultimate utility man came in at right back for Trent Alexander-Arnold and as usual did a superb job.

It is to me and many LFC supporters worldwide a complete mystery why this astounding professional has not been handed a new two-year deal by the club as his performances, attitude, professionalism but above all his outstanding attitude deserve it.

When vice captain James Milner finally hangs up his boots the LFC hierarchy need to ensure he is not lost to the club and be rewarded with a position on the backroom team as his professionalism, attitude & hard work will be a great example to the young players coming through the LFC ranks.

Next up Tottenham at Anfield and memories of June 1, Madrid and bringing home number six will come flooding back.

Spurs have struggled this season, rumours of Pochettino leaving, player unrest, etc and with Tottenham having an abysmal record at Anfield and with just three League wins at Anfield since the Titanic went down in 1912, I expect a comprehensive Liverpool victory.

Time to give Spurs a Red reminder

A mixed week for the Reds in some ways, but only as a reflection of our sky high expectations right now.

We all wanted to beat United last weekend. We went in as massive favourites, but as always they raised their levels for us, and we laboured a little.

But, would we have taken our current position at the start of the season? Of course we would.

Then comes a midweek performance to cheer us all back up.

Great to see the Ox showing us what we've been missing, to see Alisson back in place and Mo over his knock.

I'm so positive right now.

Another big one this weekend, welcoming an under par Spurs to Anfield, but I believe we will remind them who the European Champion's are! COYR.
