Gary Neville believes Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Winks could be key to solving Englan'd midfield issue.
According to the Manchester United legend, the Three Lions have struggled in the middle of the park, but Winks, who has six caps to his name to-date, could be the answer.
Asked about the 24-year-old and the impact he can make on the international stage, Neville told Sky Sports ' Football Show: "I'm surprised he hasn't because England in the last tournament, struggled at times to break the midfield and struggled to get on and keep the ball.
"Think about that semi-final against Croatia when Modric sort of started to dominate the game. It's the problem England midfield have had over the years.
"I think he is the type of player who does play off-line. He can take the ball, he will always receive it on the half turn. I think he is a player who reminds of Jack Wilshere in the way he receives it and glides forward with it.
"I think he is a really good player and I enjoy watching him play. I was surprised in the Champions League final that he was taken off last year because I thought he was having a really good team."
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp also joined in the chat, declaring: "I'm a big fan.
"Sometimes it goes unnoticed when a player goes simple and that's a beautiful thing in itself when you can keep passing the ball to someone in an England shirt or a Tottenham shirt and I think he does that really well.
"In major tournaments, when it gets hot, you have to have someone who keeps the ball, manages the game and have a tempo to it."
