The Ireland-inspired Guinness Stacker barbecue burger taking over Korean Burger King

Three stacked beef patties, a rich Guinness barbecue sauce and a black bun to top it off, the Guinness Stacker is the latest Ireland-inspired craze from the other side of the world.

A Reddit user from Ireland who has been stuck in South Korea since the beginning of the pandemic shared a snap of an advertisement for the huge burger.

“I assume this is the latest taste sensation back home too,” they wrote.

According to the original poster, the burger must be popular enough as it’s been on the South Korean Burger King menu for almost a year. They have yet to try it, however.

Redditors have gone wild joking about the burger and asking questions to the original poster.

One joked: “Wonder if you order one they’ll make half the burger then leave it a couple of minutes to settle,” sarcastically nodding towards its beer-inspired sauce.

Others mentioned that instead of a black coloured bun to top off the burger, that a white bun representing the classic creamy head on a good pint of Guinness.

White the bun appears to be just a normal bun coloured black to match the Guinness brand, the original Redditor said that the sauce supposedly does have the black stuff in it.

Apparently South Koreans love Guinness. One commenter said that she was “pleasantly surprised” by how popular the Irish beer was over there - “Guinness and Westlife, of course.”
