Twitter can be a cesspool of terribleness, but every once in a while, it brings its users something delightful, like puns off Keanu Reeves’ name.
Over the last few days, people on Twitter have realized that the John Wick actor’s last name rhymes or almost rhymes with a wide variety of words. So they’ve created countless amazing/awful puns with Reeves reimagined playing different roles or reacting to certain situations.
It’s the second Reeves-related moment in internet culture in the last week or so. After playing a small role in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe, which recently debuted, his entrance to a restaurant scene quickly became the internet meme “Keanu Reeves walks to music.”
