The Instagram post that appears to confirm Joe Willock's Newcastle transfer

Reiss Nelson has told Joe Willock it's his "turn to show the world" as he heads to Newcastle on loan.

The temporary deal has been agreed between the clubs pending personal terms being agreed with Arsenal youngster Willock.

The 21-year-old has starred in the Gunners' Europa League campaign and has been earmarked as a prospect at the Emirates. But Mikel Arteta is prepared to let the box-to-box midfielder leave on loan to get more minutes before the end of the season.

Steve Bruce has been desperate to add more energy in the midfield engine room and Willock will get chances at St James' Park.

Now Nelson, Willock's best friend in the Arsenal squad, has as good as confirmed the deal with a post on Instagram.

"I will miss you 100x but it's your turn go show the world," he wrote. "I'm behind you my brudda (sic)."

United had hoped to add two midfielders on deadline day but it now appears as though Willock - who will be added as an under-21 player - is the only deal set to go through.

DeAndre Yedlin's move to Galatasaray was the only outgoing.
