There is nothing more frustrating.
You turn up at Tesco/Aldi/Lidl/Morrisons/other (delete as appropriate) to do your big food shop and you have forgotten your £1 for the trolley.
You desperately search your pockets, purse and wallet for a pound. You even start looking under the seats of your car and the ash tray.
The more creative may even stick an Extra Strong Mint inside (it doesn't work).
In the end you end up shopping for four people using only a basket. By the end your arm feels like it is going to fall off and your legs hurts from where the heavy, overflowing basket has bashed into it a dozen times.
Luckily there is hope because a man from Cardiff has discovered a trolley hack that is going to change your life (well, a little).

The man, who does not want to be named, was at a supermarket in the Welsh capital this week.
Faced with the crushing self loathing of forgetting a £1 coin he was given this hack by a member of staff.
"I went into the shop to ask if they had a token I could borrow," the man told WalesOnline.
"The staff member came over to me and asked if I had my keys.
"I had one that had a round end and he told me that it would work on the trolleys.
"I went over and gave it a go and when it clicked unlocked I was like 'wow'. I couldn't believe it."
