The Indy Rugby Podcast: England and All Blacks cruise into quarter-finals – but let's get clear on red cards

The quarter-finals of the Rugby World Cup are looming on the horizon, with teams already securing their place in the last eight and others booking their flights home shrouded in disappointment.

With England, France and New Zealand all booking their place in the quarter-finals, the knockout stage in Japan is starting to take shape, but plenty of other still harbour hopes of extending their stay in the Far East.

Jack de Menezes is back with Samuel Lovett to dissect the latest World Cup action and talking points, starting with the mystery that is Pool A following yet another victory for Japan and a drab performance from previously world No 1’s Ireland.

In part two, they sink their teeth into England’s victory over Argentina and the sudden flurry of red cards as referees crack down on foul play, as well as look at the problem that may lie beneath the surface for the All Blacks.
