Four curry houses in Wales have been shortlisted in the UK-wide Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2019.
The awards, which were launched last year and are voted for by the diners themselves, aim to find the country's best Indian, Thai and Chinese restaurants, takeaways and chefs.
The final will take place in London on Sunday, October 13 when the winners of each category will be announced, including the Best of Wales.
Among the restaurants from Wales competing are The Grand Sultan in Port Talbot , which won the inaugural title last year.
Based on the outskirts of the steel town and set next to a golf course overlooking a lake, the restaurant was opened four years ago in the former club house and is run by business partners Sam and Sunny.
The Grand Sultan has an extensive menu that breaks down into several categories with salmon tikka, duck meetha, chilli lamb shank, fish karahi and Tandoori trout all on offer.
At the time of the win, Sam told WalesOnline: "We are extremely happy to have come away as the regional winners for Wales. It's been a tough few months from attending numerous cook offs. The scoring process has been very rigorous and we were up against a lot of very good established businesses and chefs."
Jai Ho Restaurant in Conwy has also made the shortlist for 2019. Among the offerings are Indian Thalis, which are available for both meat-eaters and vegetarians.
The third Welsh restaurant competing is Rasoi Indian Kitchen in Swansea , which is no stranger to winning awards - the waterfront restaurant was named the best in Wales in the 2018 British Curry Awards .
Also on the shortlist is another former winner in the British Curry Awards, the Sheesh Mahal in Llanelli.
