The Independent is once again partnering Camp Bestival as the event’s exclusive news partner, expanding its presence at the UK’s ultimate family festival.
Held at Lulworth Castle on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, the festival this year will play host to an all-day takeover on the Castle Stage by Fatboy Slim and Friends, along with major acts including Bastille, Self Esteem and Billy Ocean.
As exclusive news partner for the second consecutive year, The Independent will be bringing readers behind-the-scenes coverage, updates and interviews, as well as ticket giveaways and newsletter spotlight features.
On-site, women’s health expert and host of The Independent’s fitness channel Strong Like Mum, Sharika Akabusi, will appear at The Library – Camp Bestival’s space for conversations around culture, literature and more – to deliver a key talk, with more activity to be announced.
The Independent’s Music Editor, Roisin O’Connor, commented: “I'm delighted that The Independent is partnering once again with Camp Bestival, undoubtedly one of the best family-friendly events in the UK and with as brilliant a lineup as ever.
"Organisers Rob and Josie have proven yet again that they know just what's needed to give both parents and children a truly unforgettable summer experience, and we can't wait to celebrate another fantastic year with them."

Josie and Rob da Bank, curators of Camp Bestival, said: “Josie and I are super excited to be working with The Independent again this year as our official news partner.
“Sharing culture and music is at the heart of what we do at Camp Bestival so we’re very much looking forward to coming together and creating inspiring content to share with their readers. The Independent will also be joining us in The Library - our space for conversations, talks and lovers of literature. Summer can’t come soon enough!”
Camp Bestival takes place from 30 July to 2 August 2026. Tickets are on sale now.
