The incredible West Ham record that has not helped Mark Noble and David Moyes' Hammers

West Ham are the only Premier League team not to have been awarded a penalty this season, in fact, in the past year, The Hammers have only been awarded one, at Manchester United in July.

West Ham's go to penalty taker is Mark Noble, with Michail Antonio deputising if the captain is not on the pitch.

Noble of course has an outstanding record from the penalty spot, he is currently fourth in the all-time list of successful Premier League takers with 27 scored out of 31 attempts, behind only Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, and Alan Shearer.

Incredibly the West Ham captain has not been able to add to his tally for 366 days, with the one penalty awarded to The Hammers coming at Old Trafford in a match he did not take part in.

Unbelievably since Noble's last penalty, at the King Power Stadium in January, West Ham's opponents Leicester City have been awarded 12 league penalties and another in European competition, scoring from ten of them.

West Ham have had shouts for penalties recently but even with VAR in effect, they have received nothing.

Tomas Soucek claimed a foul had been committed on him on Tuesday against West Brom, but it was deemed a fair challenge with the defender seemingly kicking the ball and Soucek's foot simultaneously.

The referee Graham Scott waved play on and the VAR decided there was no clear and obvious error from the on-field official.

Hammers fans will be hoping that they do not need a penalty shootout to defeat Doncaster Rovers on Saturday in the FA Cup.

Mark Noble will be first up no doubt, as long as he is on the pitch, but it has been so long since anyone else other than Antonio took a penalty for the Hammers it may be advantage Donny if they are all square after 120 minutes.
