The incredible Tottenham record ended by West Ham that had nothing to do with the new stadium

West Ham picked up a somewhat unexpected win on Saturday when they came away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with all three points - becoming the first team to do so.

Michail Antonio scored the only goal of the game to take three points back to the London Stadium and leave the Tottenham fans heading home with an unfamiliar feeling.

Pochettino delivers new injury updates on Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks

Spurs have certainly not needed a settling in period since moving to their new home. Before Saturday's game, they had won all four games played in the stadium without conceding a single goal.

But it's not just the new stadium where the record is impressive, As reported by football.london , in fact the record stretches further - to when the Lillywhites were at their previous home.

Before moving the Wembley, Spurs won their final 17 games at White Hart Lane, starting with a 3-2 win over the Hammers in November 2016. Add in the four straight wins in their new home, and Saturday's defeat brings to an end an incredible run of 21 straight home wins for Spurs when playing in their own stadium.

In between the old and the new, Tottenham have been borrowing England's national stadium, Wembley to play their home games. While they enjoyed relative success at the iconic stadium, Spurs will be happy to now have their own place to call home.

Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping that the home advantage will be back in affect on Tuesday when they face Ajax in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
