The incredible Swansea City player ratings as Steve Cooper's men become heroes at Reading

Steve Cooper's Swansea City side dramatically defied the odds to secure a top six spot and earn themselves a place in the Championship's play-offs with a 4-1 win over Reading.

Here's how the Swans rated...

ERWIN MULDER 10

Unfortunate with the penalty, but was otherwise impressive. Alert late on to keep out efforts as Reading pushed.

BEN CABANGO 10

Another top display from the Welshman who played well and put his body on the line. Subbed as Swansea pushed.

MIKE VAN DER HOORN 10

More than comfortable on the ball and solid in the air. Altercation with Yakou Meite saw the hosts reduced to 10 men. Subbed at the break.

MARC GUEHI 10

Snuffed out Reading's earlier attacks and continued his stunning form. Absolute colossus again, and a late tackle kept the dream going.

CONNOR ROBERTS 10

On his 100th appearance for the Swans, the Welshman was very effective on the right flank once again. Put in a magnificent shift.

JAY FULTON 10

Dragged a shot wide and will be frustrated not to win a penalty in the first half. Replaced at the break as Swansea went for broke.

MATT GRIMES 10

At the heart of everything in the middle and got a fine assist for Wayne Routledge's goal. Ends the Championship regular season as the Swans' only ever-present player. Monumental effort.

JAKE BIDWELL 10

Got forward well, although gifted the Royals a lifeline after conceding the penalty. Kept plugging away and wreaked havoc on the left.

CONOR GALLAGHER 10

Looked on his feet late on, such were his efforts. Didn't stop going. What an effort.

ANDRE AYEW 10

Missed a sitter, but who cares. Tireless efforts from the forward yet again. Sensational work rate.

RHIAN BREWSTER 10

Always lively and put Swansea ahead in sensational fashion with what was his 10th goal for the club. On his feet late on.

Subs

Wayne Routledge (for van der Hoorn) - Got in dangerous positions and took his goals very well. Etched himself further into Swansea folklore. 10

Yan Dhanda (for Fulton) - Ran his socks off for the cause. 10

Liam Cullen (for Cabango) - Scored his first senior goal, and took it really well, too. What a moment for the academy lad. 10

Bersant Celina (for Routledge) - Helped see out the game. 10
