The incredible stats that prove Manchester United star would be the perfect signing for Arsenal

Arsenal are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window.

Although the money at head coach Unai Emery's disposal is reliant on qualifying for the Champions League.

Head coach Unai Emery did not have any money to play with in the January transfer window, and could only secure loan deals, with Denis Suarez the only arrival from Barcelona.

That loan has not exactly gone to plan, with the 25-year-old only appearing six times for the Gunners, without a single start among them.

Reports have suggested that Emery will not have a big transfer budget to deal with this summer, with £40-50million the kind of figures bandied around.

However, should the Gunners finish in the top four, that war chest would grow, given the money available in the Champions League.

But one player they have been linked with would not cost them a penny.

Manchester United's Ander Herrera is out of contract at the end of this season, and the Gunners have been linked with a last-gasp move,  to tempt him to the Emirates and away from the clutches of Paris Saint-Germain.

Herrera spoke to Diario ABC about his future earlier this month.

He said: "It's true that I only have two months left on my contract and as it is right now Manchester and I are not thinking alike and there is no renewal agreement.

"But my duty is still to continue to listen to United. What it's clear to me is that I will continue playing for a big team. I take care of myself for that reason, I feel well and I want to continue in football for as long as my body allows me to because the day I retire I will begin to regret to have hung up my boots.

"I will listen to United, of course, but also to other clubs. I don't close any doors."

And stats have revealed that he would be a perfect signing for Arsenal this summer.

According to Opta, as revealed by @UtdArena on Twitter, Herrera is United's best performing player when it comes to tackles per 90 minutes and interceptions per 90 minutes this season.

Not only that, but he is one of their best for passing accuracy, xG build-up, blocks per 90 minutes, xG Chain, passes per 90 minutes and recoveries per 90 minutes.
