The incredible moment Tiger Roll made history in the Grand National

Tiger Roll has made history by winning the 2019 Grand National and matching the incredible achievement by Red Rum 45 years ago.

Not since Red Rum triumphed in 1973 and 1974 has a horse won back-to-back Nationals at Aintree - until now.

Tiger Roll went into the race as the shortest priced favourite in 100 years and it turns out the bookmakers got that spot on.

The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding came into the Grand National in great form after winning the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival for the second year running.

Many believed Tiger Roll was in even better form going into the National then when he won it in 2018 and the nine-year-old backed up those opinions with a superb run in front of an estimated worldwide audience of 600 million.
