The incredible 110 decibel warning as Wembley fans celebrated England's Euro 2020 win

The Apple Watch rattled once more but it wasn't a message about low battery or telling me to stand up, it was a health warning.

Seconds after England had equalised in the powder-keg Euro 2020 semi-final against Denmark, a warning flashed: "Sound levels just hit 95 decibels.

"Just 10 minutes at this level can cause temporary hearing loss!"

When the match-winning penalty was awarded the levels went up to 110 decibels on a crazy night.

And 14 hours or so after England made history at Wembley the ears are still ringing.

The adrenalin was still pumping around close to 3am this morning after a the Three Lions did something they hadn't managed since 1966.

The electricity around Wembley was cranked up further as England put us all through the mill.

A VAR-contested penalty, Harry Kane's initial effort saved and the rebound gloriously converted to give us the moment we've waited decades for.

As the final whistle blasted the agony and mental scars of Gazza's near miss against Germany, Gareth Southgate's penalty 25 years ago and all those years of hurt that have followed since seemed to evaporate into the humid Wembley air.

Redemption for Southgate?

Whatever happens now, Southgate already has a place in the history books but we'd all love it if he can go one better and beat Italy.

Wembley Way was a picture after the game as Southgate's name was chanted long into the night.

Car horns honked loudly as flags were waved in euphoric scenes with "Football's Coming Home" blasting on car stereos.

Italy will be tough and they also have the advantage of playing twice at Wembley already at Euro 2020.

But England have momentum, confidence and belief.

Wednesday night was fantastic but Sunday could bring more than just a welcome headache!
