The impressive Swansea City player ratings as trio impress again in Bristol City win

Swansea City kept their Championship play-off hopes alive thanks to a goal from Connor Roberts against Bristol City on Saturday.

Here's how Steve Cooper's men rated in the 1-0 win.

ERWIN MULDER 6

Had a very quiet game in truth, despite the Robins' decent start to the game. Did the basics well enough and good with the ball at his feet too.

BEN CABANGO 7

Some fine tackles from the Welshman who shackled Bristol City's attacking talents really well. Conceded a penalty to give the Robins the chance to equalise, although he was let off the hook.

MIKE VAN DER HOORN 6

Fine tackle on Benik Afobe early on, and always looked forward when on the ball. Subbed in the second half.

MARC GUEHI - star man 8

Continued his impressive form with another fine display. So solid at the back and a real force in the air. Wasn't afraid to get forward either.

CONNOR ROBERTS 7

Really grew into the game and was a threat in attack as the first half wore on. Coolly slotted home what was his first goal of the campaign to put Swansea 1-0 up. Top display.

JAY FULTON 7

Another combative performance in the middle from Fulton. Exactly what you'd expect from the Scot.

MATT GRIMES 8

Range of passing was superb again. Grimes was at the heart of most Swansea attacks while he did his fair share of defensive work too. Unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.

JAKE BIDWELL 7

Brought plenty of energy on the left flank and put in several dangerous crosses. Bidwell is thriving in a wing-back role at present. Good display, particularly in the opening 45.

CONOR GALLAGHER 6

Fired a shot just wide from distance in the opening half, and went even closer as he struck the post before Roberts' goal. Tired in the second half and was withdrawn late on.

ANDRE AYEW 8

His side's most positive attacking spark in the first half, Ayew was unlucky with a dinked effort which was clawed away by Daniel Bentley. Work rate and hold up play superb again.

RHIAN BREWSTER 6

Barely had a sniff until late on in the first half when he spurned a glorious chance from Guehi's chipped cross. Had a shot saved after the restart and was subbed late on. Hit the post late on too.

Subs

Wayne Routledge (for van der Hoorn) - Used some nous to run the clock down. 6

Liam Cullen (for Brewster) - Involved high up the pitch in the final stages. 6

Yan Dhanda (for Gallagher) - Helped see out the game. N/A
