The image that could show Arsenal's decision on Nottingham Forest transfer target

Eagle eyed fans online have noticed that Arsenal may have accidentally let the cat out of the bag on Eddie Nketiah's immediate future.

The 20-year-old is a man in demand in the January window after his loan spell at Leeds United was cut short earlier this month.

Nketiah was recalled by the Gunners after failing to break into Marcelo Bielsa's first team at Elland Road.

New Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has had a close look at the England youth international and wanted him to make a fully informed decision on his next move.

Nottingham Forest are one of a number of teams linked with Nketiah, with Sabri Lamouchi keen to ease the burden on star striker Lewis Grabban.

Along with the Reds - Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday of the Championship and Premier League Aston Villa have been credited with an interested.

And it appears that the Robins have won the race for the striker, after an image was released on the club's site with the Bristol City badge next to Nketiah.

No official confirmation has been made from either side, but Lee Johnson's men were the overwhelming favourites to seal a deal for Nketiah, with bookies suspending betting on his next club.

The image has since been updated, removing the Bristol badge, but that has done little to stop fans believing this is the clearest indication yet.
