Bonnells Bay is home to the Hunter's most recent millionaire after a local woman won more than $1.5 million on a lucky Keno draw at the Bay Hotel Motel on Tuesday.
Officials for Keno confirmed the winner held a Keno Classic 10 Spot winning entry in draw 708 and has taken home a total prize of $1,538,477.30.
"We were having lunch yesterday and I put on a few games and then went home," the winner said.
"Later in the afternoon, I sat down and checked the winning numbers and immediately recognised them as the birthday numbers that I usually play.
"I yelled out to my husband that we had nine of the 10 numbers drawn and then he came over to double-check and said 'We've got 10 out of 10!'.
"It's just unbelievable, it really is."
The couple plan to spend the first of their winnings on a new home, support their children, and splurge on a new boat, but have plans to keep working.
Bay Hotel Motel manager Peter Cullen said it was the biggest win the venue had celebrated.
