The Hulk smashes Donald Trump's star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame has once again been targeted by a vandal, this time reportedly destroyed by someone dressed as the Incredible Hulk.

The president’s star, at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, has been a frequent target since he entered the White House and is often the scene of protests.

It was destroyed with a pickaxe at 5.55am local time on Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department said, hours after Mr Trump announced he and wife Melania had tested positive for coronavirus.

No arrests have been made and an LAPD spokesman could not confirm TMZ’s report the culprit was dressed as the Incredible Hulk.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, the body which administers the Walk of Fame, condemned the act of vandalism and said the star would be replaced.

In a statement, president and CEO Rana Ghadban said: “Any star, which is vandalised or destroyed, no matter which honouree it belongs to will be replaced by the Hollywood Historic Trust, a non-profit, non-partisan group.

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a historic landmark which celebrates the professional contributions of the inductees. The stars, once installed, are considered part of the historic fabric of the Walk.

“When people are angry with one of our honourees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalise a California state landmark. Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a real difference by voting and not destroying public property.”

Mr Trump was honoured with a star in 2007 in the category of television. He starred in the popular TV show The Apprentice and was a producer on the beauty pageants he owned.

In 2016 his star was hit with a sledgehammer and two years later destroyed with a pickaxe. Other controversial Walk Of Famers, including Michael Jackson and Bill Cosby, have had their stars vandalised.
