The huge summer carnival perfect for families less than an hour from Merseyside

There’s nothing better than spending the weekend exploring the fun fair, treating your sweet tooth and spending time with the family.

Hale Barns Carnival returns for its third year this summer, with a whole host of fun-filled events planned.

The two-day festival will see more than 100 attractions take over St Ambrose Fields, including fun fair rides, supercars, arts and crafts stations, an artisan market and a food village.

The festival will take place from Saturday, July 20 - Sunday, July 21 from 12pm - 5pm, and is completely free to attend.

Visitors will be able to see the High Jinx pop-up theatre perform magic and illusion shows, along with stunts, tricks and acrobatics throughout the day.

The evening concerts include sets from The Real Thing, Odyssey and Owen Paul (Hale Barns Events)

Along with this there will be live music and acts including local bands, dance troupes, choirs and tribute acts taking place across the weekend.

Families will get the chance to see falconry displays, as well as meet Shire horses and catch a glimpse of incredible supercars such as James Bond’s very own Aston Martin Db5.

Along with the Makers Market, which will include more than 50 artisan producers, there will be a huge food village serving up dishes such as wood fired pizza, Belgian waffles, and halloumi fries.

Each day following the carnival there are two huge ticketed concerts planned, with performances from The Real Thing, Odyssey, Owen Paul, Nathan Moore and a DJ set by Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp.

Tickets for the concerts cost £25 per adult and can be booked via www.halebarnscarnival.ticketline.co.uk .
