The huge increase in Arsenal's squad value but Gunners still trail Man Utd, Chelsea and others

Arsenal have seen their squad value increase £92.03million in the space of 14 months following big money moves for Nicolas Pepe and Kieran Tierney.

The transfermarkt website has valued Arsenal’s current squad at £636.08 million, which is almost a £100million rise from January 2019.

The departure of Alex Iwobi to Everton in the summer for £27million would have dropped the squad value for the Gunners, but the moves for Pepe and Tierney, which accumulated to almost £100million would have seen it rise a mass amount.

William Saliba was also bought for £27million but he was loaned straight back to Saint Etienne for the season meaning he’s not included in the current squad’s value.

Arsenal's player of the season so far

However, when Saliba arrives at the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season and any potential signings, Mikel Arteta’s squad value will once again rise and we could see it easily rise above £700million.

In comparison to their Premier League rivals – Arsenal have the sixth most valuable squad – with Manchester City and Liverpool the top two, respectively.

North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are in third, with Chelsea and Manchester United in fourth and fifth place respectively, with the Red Devils' squad value more than £80million above that of the Gunners.

Arsenal's squad value could in the summer window as well, with the Gunners expected to be busy bringing in new faces.

The continued brilliant form of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will mean that his market value will keep shooting up as well.

Likewise, Bukayo Saka, who has emerged onto the scene this season, now has a value of nearly £20million, according to transfermarkt.
