Leeds’ United’s players have travelled fewer than half as far as those of Sheffield United this international break.
As the end of the season fast approaches, clubs are looking for any potential advantage they may have over their rivals.
Fortunately for Leeds , the international break has just handed them a big one.
The Whites’ international players have travellied just 5,547 miles between them.
That’s fewer than half the amount Sheffield United’s players travelled (13,950 miles) and almost three times fewer than Norwich’s players (15,975 miles).
Ezgjan Alioski faced the longest journey with a 2,661 mile round trip to Macedonia and Slovakia.
Mateusz Klich, meanwhile, had a 2,155 mile round trip to Austria and Poland.
Sheffield United’s three Irish players - John Egan, Enda Stevens and David McGoldrick - each faced 2,392 mile round trips as they take on Gibraltar and France.
John Fleck, however, had a 6,573 mile round trip on his hands with Scotland travelling out to Astana to take on Kazakhstan.
The distances have been calculated as a round trip from each player’s home ground, to the stadiums where their national team will play and back again.
