The Houston Rockets love shooting threes in the playoffs

The Houston Rockets are 3-1 so far this postseason, and like in the regular season, a lot of their winning has to do with their success from beyond the arc.

In Game 1 against the Jazz, the Rockets were 15-41 from three-point range (36.6%). They won in quite the rout of Utah, 122-90.

In Game 2, a 118-98 win, the Rockets were 17-42 (40.5%).

Houston barely squeaked by in a 104-101 win in Game 3, but still took a ton of three-point shots, going 12-41 (29.3%).

Game 4 didn’t go the Rockets’ way and Houston lost 107-91. They were 11-35 (31.4%) from three-point range.

As during the regular season, the Rockets taking quite a lot of shots from beyond the arc so far in this postseason is actually part of a larger record.

So far in the 2019 NBA playoffs, James Harden (18) is tied for most three-pointers made and Eric Gordon is 5th among all players with 14, according to NBA.com/stats.

In this short posteason so far, the Rockets also are atop the league in what percentage of their points per game come from three-pointers at 44.1%.
