While a blanket of snow is increasingly looking unlikely for the whole of Wales, some smaller areas could still see a dusting as temperatures start to drop.
At the start of the week, there had been warnings that snow could fall across the nation and charts had shown where the snow was most likely to hit.
The Met Office says there is a "wintry mix of showers" on the way to Wales for Thursday but it's likely to be confined to higher ground.

Forecasters had always been clear that the likelihood of snow was uncertain, with rain and sleet also forecast, but now the latest Met Office forecast suggests it might be more wet than winter wonderland across most of Wales.
A spokesperson for The Met Office said: "A wintry mix of showers is on the cards for parts of Wales on Thursday, although any small accumulations are most likely to be confined to high ground in the north of Wales.
"A band of showers is set to build in from the NW of Wales on Thursday that will be a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow. In the high ground, this is likely to fall as snow, although will be short-lived in nature and unlikely to accumulate to any significant level. In lower ground in Wales, the mix is more likely to be of rain and sleet, and more likely to be just rain in the south of the country.
"In terms of accumulations, there’s a slight chance of a bit of lying snow in the high ground in the north, but this is likely to be very short lived and likely just a dusting of wintry weather. Friday will see some respite from the previously unsettled and windy conditions, with patchy cloud for much of Wales. It’ll be remaining fairly cool compared to the relatively mild winter Wales has seen so far.
"Saturday will see the return of some unsettled weather which will build in from the west late in the day, with some high winds."
Here is your hour-by-hour forecast as snow, wind and rain hit the country.
Thursday February 24:
9am
It looks set to be an uncertain start, with rain possible in several parts of the country. At 9am, there will be a 40 per cent chance of precipitation in Cardiff, with northerly parts seeing similar with a 30 per cent chance of rain.
Alongside the possible rain, temperatures will have also dropped compared to recent days. Cardiff will see a high of around 5°C in the morning. But don't be fooled, the gales will make it "feel like" below freezing with the Met Office forecasting -1°C.
It will be a similar picture across Wales, with Aberystwyth also seeing a small chance of rain.
It will still be fairly windy along the coast with gusts of 44mph expected in parts.
12pm
The sun will make an appearance by midday for most of south west wales, although this will be broken up by showers. For the most part, wales will have a dry lunch, with the heaviest showers centered along the English border.
North Wales will unsurprisingly be the coldest region, with temperatures dropping to 3°C in Wrexham.
The Met Office forecast for the mountain region says a band of rain or snow will spread south during the evening, becoming heavy and possibly thundery for a time. Some snow above 1000m at first but lowering to 600m later with blizzards on the tops.
3pm
While the temperature might not be quite cold enough for snow, the afternoon will certainly be looking dry enough, with less than 10 per cent chance of rain for Cardiff by 3pm. But with the temperature still at 6°C it's unlikely the capital will see a snowy evening.
With higher ground the most likely to see snow, the temperature at the top of Snowdon summit will be below freezing.
The Met Office forecast for the mountain region says a band of rain or snow will spread south during the evening, becoming heavy and possibly thundery for a time. Some snow above 1000m at first but lowering to 600m later with blizzards on the tops. Wind speeds will be over 60mph at the summit.
6pm
As the evening draws in, parts of Wales will once again see showers, putting to rest any hope of snow flurries sticking. Most of the south of the country is forecast rain, with a drier climate in West Wales.
In Bangor temperatures will have dropped to 3°C, looking set to be one of the only places in the country to near freezing. Despite the temperature, the Met Office is forecasting heavy rain for the region putting to bed any hopes of snow.
