The Honda models recalled over brake pedal issue

  • Honda is recalling more than 259,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a brake pedal problem that could increase crash risks.
  • The recall includes the 2023-2025 Honda Pilot, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and the 2021-2025 Acura TLX.
  • The issue involves a faulty brake pedal pivot pin that may not be properly fastened, potentially causing unintended brake application or other malfunctions.
  • Honda dealers will inspect affected vehicles and replace the necessary parts for free; dealer notifications were sent June 13, and mailed letters to owners will go out July 28.
  • No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall, though Honda has received three warranty claims related to the issue.
