The English Revival-style house, built in 1922, evokes the thatched cottages of rural England with its gambrel roofline. Zamperini, who died last year at 97, grew up in Torrance and was a high school track star. He ran the 5,000-meter race for the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
After the war he lived in Studio City and then in the Hollywood Hills home for nearly six decades.
