Emmerdale fans might have forgotten Hollyoaks legend Helen Pearson once had a spell in the ITV soap.
To many, Helen, 61, is familiar for her long-running role as Frankie Osborne in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
But, like so many in soapland, she’s actually appeared in rival soaps Emmerdale and EastEnders.

Helen’s Emmerdale spell lasted between 2000 and 2001 where she played Carol Wareing. The character made 79 appearances in Emmerdale.
She’s probably best remembered as being an old friend of Viv Windsor. Emmerdale viewers might recall Carol had an epic scrap in The Woolpack with Cynthia Daggert.
In EastEnders, acting star Helen played April back in 1990. While, you might also notice her from Doctors, The Bill and Inspector Morse.
Obviously, she’s arguably most familiar for her stint in Hollyoaks. We were first introduced to Frankie in the Channel 4 show back in 2004.
The character was killed off in 2017. After that, she appeared in the TV film Rome in Love.
As many we’ve seen many times, soapland can be a very small place indeed.
